Emily Robertson

Which projects have you been involved in?

So far, I’ve worked on the Scandinavian launch of their new product range which has involved leading weekly calls going through the marketing plan and progress updates with the Project Team. I also help our Digital Marketing Assistant create content for our internal communications platform Yammer. As part of my apprenticeship, I’m also developing my graphic design knowledge working alongside the Studio Team in the UK. I’ve recently started creating social media collateral and I’m helping to update product datasheets for our new Range 2021 campaign.

Why is working at Knauf Insulation important you?

Working at Knauf Insulation means having the opportunity to work on exciting projects, collaborating with different departments and pushing myself out of my comfort zone. The people at Knauf Insulation are incredibly supportive and always find the time to help which means a lot.

What Knauf Insulation values are closest to you?

I feel all the values — Menschlichkeit (Humanity), Partnership, Commitment and Entrepreneurship — resonate with me as an employee. However, Commitment and Partnership feel particularly important. They are vital to my work ethic and achieving my objectives, as well as the long-term goals of the company.

What has been your most memorable experience at Knauf Insulation so far?

Starting work at Knauf Insulation during the COVID-19 pandemic was challenging especially after only working for two weeks in the office before lockdown and then having to work from home. However, my managers and the Marketing Team were supportive during these unique times, with team meetings and regular catch-up calls to check in on each other. This really helped make me feel a part of the team. I’m looking forward to getting back to the office and working with everybody in person when circumstances allow.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

I would like to have achieved my Level 5 (higher education level in the UK national system) in Creative Digital Design and hope to carry on progressing as much as possible with the company.
